The best way to do multi-channel audio is over HDMI. You will need a receiver / AV decoder capable of audio over HDMI (which has been pretty standard for the last 10 year or so, but if you are working with vintage equipment you may be out of luck). The optical audio out port can also support some kinds of 5.1 audio but it's somewhat more limited. But those are both digital signals. If you're using 3.5mm jacks this sounds like analog.
Maybe some computer sparkers with built-in amps? If so this may be tough to do without getting an external sound card.
